Firefall - TF2/Borderland Mash up

For those who played Borderlands and Fallout and wished that you could have shared your experience with numerous people around the world, now you can! Firefall, created by Red 5 Studio, is a MMOFPS that is certainly amazing. Firefall is still in production and they usually have close beta testing once in a while. The best thing about Firefall is that it will be free to play upon release! The graphics our amazing for a free to play game and the game play is quiet different. There will be features like E-sport pvp, dynamic events, open world pvp, and much more.

Players are given the choice to be either Recon (sniper), Assault (scout), Biotech (medic), Engineer, and Dreadnaught (heavy), but it doesn't stop with just picking your one class and sticking with it. Once you dive in, players are allowed to switch to different classes whenever they like depending on what battle frame you wear. You have to pay for the different battle frames, but luckily in the tutorial they give you enough money to buy your first extra battle frame.

The leveling in this game is different to most MMO in the way that it has no level system. A players way of "leveling" is by spending exp as currency and buying skills that you want. After completing a certain tree route, you will be able to unlock the next class. If you choose to play with multiple battle frames you will need to upgrade these separately.

Firefall allows you to either play in first person or third person view, but to me it's so much better playing it in first person. The keybindings of the game are very similar to a traditional FPS games and of course you can customize these bindings to your liking. Moving around in Firefall is exciting, since it seem you could go anywhere with limited amounts of invisible walls. The game offers some gliding if you find a launch pad spread around the world and your character also comes equipped with a jet pack or shoes, so that you can fly around for a limited time. The "flying" aspect gives the game a whole another dimension to work with.

Firefall is definitely a game that everyone should look forward too. It has so many great features that you would normally find in a pay to play game, but instead is free. Its going to be exciting when this game finally releases!
